LASERS AND LIGHT THERAPY

Lasers are machines which deliver amplified light of specific wavelengths, which can be used to treat many skin conditions such as birthmarks, Nevi (Moles & birthmarks), tattoos (Tattoo removal), excessive hair growth (Hair reduction) and scars. There are many different types of lasers which are used in specific conditions and a single type of laser is not used to treat all kinds of conditions. Moreover, every skin condition and skin colour may not be suitable for laser treatment. However, this technology has made possible treatment of many conditions which were untreatable earlier.

Broad band light source with the use of suitable filters (Intense Pulsed Light/IPL) is another modality which can be used for various conditions such as excessive hair growth, rejuvenation of the skin, skin lightening, freckles, etc.

Botulinum Toxin (Botox)

Botulinum toxin injections are a popular method for treatment of wrinkles worldwide. It has to be repeated at intervals of every 4-8 months for maintenance of improvement. It can also be used to treat involuntary muscle twitches, facial spasms and Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
