History of DISHARC

DI Skin Hospital and Referral Center Pvt. Ltd (DISHARC) was established in 2009 at Maharjgung, Kathmandu, Nepal as the first skin hospital in Nepal. DISHARC was established under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Anil Kumar Jha, founding executive chairman and the first professor of dermatology in the country, as well as a prominent international personality in the field of dermatology. Mr. Ram Prasad Pokhrel (Lawyer, Banker), Mr. Rishee Prasad Sapkota (Hospital Management), and Mr. Shyam Prasad Shrestha (Businessman) are also among the founding member of DISHARC. DISHARC is devoted to serving the deprived and unreached grass root level community for which a non-governmental organization Community Health Education Services by Telehealth (C.H.E.S.T Nepal) was also registered during the establishment period of DISHARC.

DISHARC operated successfully on the old premises until it was moved to its new infrastructure on 14th November 2021.

DI Skin Hospital and Referral Center (DISHARC) registered as the first skin hospital and research center in Nepal, established in 2009 at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal. Now, started our all services from our own premises at Budhanilkantha-07, Golfutar, Kathmandu, Nepal. DISHARC was established under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Anil Kumar Jha, founder chairman and the first Prof. of dermatology of the country as well as a prominent international personality in the field of dermatology. DISHARC is the center of excellence in skin, hair and nail diseases. DISHARC facilitates a wide range of services like Out-Patient Consultation, well established Dermatopathology, Dermato-surgery, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeries, Laser and Light therapies and, Special Endocrinology Facilities. Patients from all 7 regions of Nepal visit DISHARC to seek services. Apart from Nepal, DISHARC also extends its online service in more than 50 countries. DISHARC is devoted to serve the deprived and unreached grass root level community through telehealth services in Nepal where the NGO is registered as CHEST Nepal.
